The C.F. Martin HDWN Wolfgang Niedecken guitar honors the famous German musician Wolfgang Niedecken and was made exclusively in the Custom Store according to his "wishes & ideas" for a perfect guitar. A dream of an acoustic guitar - an instrument for life with special custom upgrades!

It's the inner values that count: The playing feel and the sound are the true greatness of the guitar, which Wolfgang Niedecken also appreciates. The existing scalloped 5/16" forward-shifted bracing (the top bracing) ensures perfect balance and nuance across the entire sound spectrum, a dream of a sound with direct and balanced basses, soft mids and crystal-clear trebles, as the top can resonate even more freely. The flat neck profile with a nut width of 4.44 cm is already familiar from many Martin models, and Wolfgang also appreciates this profile because the neck is simply more comfortable to play. The special wood combination of spruce and rosewood (solid construction, of course) testifies to the special nature of this instrument. It is powerful and always assertive, but still offers plenty of room for the reproduction of fine articulations.

Hand-signed & highly praised

Each model in the limited edition is individually signed by Wolfgang Niedecken on the custom label.

The detailed custom artwork fingerboard inlays were designed by Wolfgang Niedecken and feature the Trinity symbols: Heart, Cross & Anchor.... Faith Love and Hope. The image of the Om syllable of the Buddhists stands for the Cologne expression "höösch", meaning peace and silence. Paired with the classic 1935 sunburst finish and the herringbone inlays, the guitar is bursting with grace.

The HD-WN is already equipped with the L.R.Baggs VTC pickup - perfect for optimum guitar pickup. A piezo pickup that significantly improves the sound and gives it a rich tonal character - adjustable with a discreet Volume & Tone control in the edge of the sound hole.

The Session VTC combines studio electronics with L.R.Baggs' patented Element pickup for a clean, tidy stage sound. A flexible sensor that mirrors the actual movement of the soundboard picks up the most sensitive nuances of the guitar for a detailed tone.
